Siena
Transfers from Florence and Pisa airports and private journeys through Chianti and the Val d’Orcia.
Travel guide
Siena is a medieval city that seems frozen in time, its shell-shaped square and striped cathedral surrounded by the gentle hills of Chianti and the Val d’Orcia. Siena has no airport of its own: Florence airport is a little over an hour away, Pisa about an hour and three quarters. A private chauffeur is the simplest way to arrive — and to discover the Tuscan countryside beyond the city walls.

Good to know
The centre inside the walls is a limited traffic zone. Your chauffeur drops you at the nearest permitted point to your hotel.
On Palio days (2 July and 16 August) the city is extremely busy — book transfers well in advance.
Hire a chauffeur by the hour for Brunello in Montalcino and Vino Nobile in Montepulciano — no designated driver needed.
